Well, here it is!
This year we have more similar movies on our lists than usual,
and we have some glaring ommissions that we just weren't too fond of.
Yes, "Piranha 3D" was totally awesome, and probably the most complete and pure entertainment Scott's seen all year! And, while it sounds fake, we just saw "The Parking Lot Movie" last night on Netflix streaming and it forced us into some last minute changes.
While it didn't make either of our lists, one film that we both liked quite a bit was, "The American," starring George Clooney. We'd like to give it our award for "American movie that felt most like a French film even though it was called 'The American.'"
We also both really liked, "All Good Things," and were shocked at how good and non-irritating Kirsten Dunst could actually be!
Unsurprisingly, Scott has his long list of Honorable Mentions that goes like this
(no particular order):
"The King's Speech"
"Youth in Revolt"
"The Other Guys"
"Inception" (until that ridiculous 3rd act)
"Shutter Island" (ditto with above)
"Winter's Bone"
"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" (primarily because Noomi Repace was brilliant)
"Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work" (boy, is she!)
While Kirstin just has:
"Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work" (boy, is she!)
Please continue to check back, as we will (hopefully) be placing our "will wins, should wins, and should've been nominateds) up soon, as well as some surprises leading up to the big night!
